A wonderful evening at our fundraising concert

What a lovely evening we shared at St Mary’s Church in Alsager on Saturday 10 October.
Our first large fundraising event brought together two award-winning male voice choirs, The Daleian Singers and Cor Bach, for an evening of beautiful music in a candlelit setting. It was wonderful to see people coming together to enjoy the performances and support Alsager Community Support.
Planning an event of this size for the first time certainly came with a few nerves. You put so much into it and hope people will enjoy what you’ve created. Seeing the evening come together, and hearing such lovely feedback afterwards, made all that effort worthwhile.
We are so grateful to both choirs for sharing their time and talent, and to St Mary’s Church for welcoming us. A heartfelt thank you also goes to our trustees and staff, who helped with everything from planning and publicity to welcoming guests and keeping things running on the night.
Our local businesses played a generous part too, supporting the concert through programme advertising and donations of raffle and auction prizes. We were delighted to share their adverts in our programme—a chance to celebrate the businesses that support our charity. A big thank you to all of our volunteers, who also kindly donated prizes for the raffle too.
And, of course, thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, brought a friend, purchased refreshments or supported the fundraising activities. Every contribution helps us continue providing free advice, information and practical support to people in Alsager and the surrounding areas.
At ACS, we are here to help anyone in any kind of need. That might mean helping someone find their way through a difficult situation, offering advice when they don’t know where to turn, providing companionship to someone feeling lonely, or helping them get to an essential medical appointment. Whatever brings someone through our door, we take the time to listen and help them find the support they need.
Behind an evening like this is something very simple: local people helping one another. The funds raised will help keep that support available to our community.
We’ll share the final fundraising total once everything has been counted. For now, we want to say how much we appreciate everyone who helped make our first large fundraising Concert event such a success.
