Practical Help

Our practical help is aimed at people in Alsager and surrounding areas who are elderly, unwell, vulnerable or isolated, but we’ll always do our best to support anyone who needs us.

How we can help you

  • Befriending - Would you like someone to visit you once a week for a chat, go out for a walk, or take you to a coffee shop? 

  • Shopping Support – help with groceries or essentials when you need it.

  • Helping Hands – small one-off jobs around the house or garden for those who can’t manage alone.

  • Information & Guidance - Form Filling & Paperwork: whether it’s a benefits claim or official letters, we’ll guide you through it.

  • Lost & Found – keeping track of lost property in the local area.

  • Other - if can’t find what you’re looking for, please get in touch — we’re always happy to help with a wide range of enquiries.

  • Urgent Mental Health Support Helpline – 0300 303 3972: Open 24 hours a day, seven-days a week, this helpline is open to people of all ages including children and young people who need urgent mental health support.
     

  • Cheshire East Council, - If you’re looking for extra support – maybe with housing, benefits, wellbeing, or something more specific – Cheshire East Council has services that can provide support. 
     
  • Local Pharmacies: In Alsager, all pharmacies provide a free prescription delivery service. Please call the pharmacy on the number below to arrange this.
